Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe Specs, Release Date: New Semi-Flagship Could Be the Perfect Smartphone for You

Asus definitely hit it off with the Zenfone 4, 5, and 6 more than a year ago. Those smartphones only proved that Asus was able to produce devices with decent specs at affordable prices.

And because Asus learned a lot more since its Zenfone trio, the Taiwanese manufacturer unveiled what could be considered among the most popular Android phones in the market.

The Zenfone 2 is not a single smartphone, but an entire lineup of impressive devices with affordable prices. Following the footsteps of the Zenfone 2, Asus proudly unveiled a new set of smartphones -- and this time there's four of them - the Zenfone 2 Deluxe, Zenfone 2 Laser, Zenfone 2 Selfie, and the Zenfone 2 Max.

Taking a look at the first of the bunch, interested users would immediately be impressed at the specs it offers. the Zenfone 2 Deluxe boasts a phablet-sized screen of 5.5 inches, and covered by a Full HD or 1080p resolution. Other notable specs include either an 1.8GHz Atom Z3560 or 2.3Ghz Atom Z3580 quad-core processor based on Silvermont architecture, and an option for 64GB or 128GB of built-in memory.

The report by Phone Arena also includes a 4GB RAM, although this could be for the first model dubbed, Z3580. There is also a 13MP powered camera at the back with a dual-tone flash, and there is a 5MP fixed focus selfie shooter in front.

Other interesting features of the device are its unique back cover design, dual-SIM compatibility with dual 4G standby, a 3,000mAh battery that can reportedly charge from 0 percent to 60 percent in 39 minutes, and Android 5.0 Lollipop skinned by Zen UI out of the box.

For interested buyers in India, the Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe will come in purple, pink, or white, with a "chameleon-like coating" as mentioned in the report. The Android-powered device will retail at 23,000 rupees or about $400 when it becomes available in the market.
