"Avril Lavigne Shaved (Half) Her Head, Still Needs Your Attention," Paul Miller tweeted.

"So Avril Lavigne has shaved the side of her head. Who do you think you are?! Britney Spears?" Michael Upton tweeted.

"Just saw Avril Lavigne's latest pic with her new hair style. Love it!" Mia Kakiay tweeted.

Lavigne, who is renowned for her punk rocker image, once spoke about staying true to her image and refusing to succumb to Hollywood stereotypes.

"I have to fight to keep my image really me ... I rejected some gorgeous publicity shots because they just didn't look like me. I won't wear skanky clothes that show my booty, my belly or my boobs. I have a great body," Lavigne previously told MTV News.

Despite rumors that the divorced singer recently broke off her relationship with reality TV star Brody Jenner, the pair are said to be going strong.

The pair even got coordinated tattoos, Jenner inking the letter "A" for Avril and Lavigne getting the letter "B" for Brody, in a bid to symbolize their devotion to one another.

"Things are going really well between them. [Brody] just figured 'Why not?' He got it done about three weeks ago. They're very happy together," a source previously told E!

Lavigne is said to be in the process of trying to revive her singing career after last album "Goodbye Lullaby" did not do as well as fans had anticipated.
