Baby first, revenge later for Nick in Season 5 of 'Grimm'
Season 5 of "Grimm" will not let Nick Burkhardt concentrate on his baby. There will be an uprising against the Wesen Council that will be led by Chavez. Nick, the monster hunter, has only one reason to continue going – his baby. After having lost his love, Juliette, and his mother too, Nick has reasons to retire.
Nick Burkhardt, played by David Giuntoli, is about to become a father because of Adalind's "Blond Ambition" trickery. After having lost his mother and the love of his life, Juliette, Nick wants revenge badly. But he finds out that he is going to become a father so Nick has to keep his revenge plans in abeyance. But for how long?
At the San Diego Comic-Con, Giuntoli told TV Line, "He lost his girlfriend, he lost his mom ... and the baby is kind of the reason for him to keep going." The baby will most probably be born in the premiere episode of Season 5. Nick will now have to focus on keeping the baby safe. Nick and Adalind are thrown into a most strange parenting team. Obviously, Nick is not in love with Adalind but the baby means a lot to both. Adalind seems vulnerable as she has lost her powers.
Giuntoli also told Spoiler TV, "My actions will [now] have repercussions if I go to wild. I do fall in love with this kid right away and he's born into a terrible world and a terrible situation."
Meanwhile, Chavez has taken Juliette's body and Kelly's head. She does so to bring out Nick into confrontation. There is a burial scene so Nick does get Juliette's body back. It's highly possible that Chavez will lead the uprising against the Wesen Council but her motive is not clear. Also, Trubel is with her. Trubel will never do anything to hurt Nick or go against him.
When asked if Juliette will come back from the dead, Executive producer David Greenwalt said emphatically, "No." There is Juliette's funeral in the Season 5 premiere.
The season is not that dark though. Greenwalt said that they will finally explain the "keys". He said, "At last, we're going to explain the damn keys! We still don't know what they do, but by God, we're going to explain it."
Another good thing is Hank will find some romance, but Rosalee will get herself in danger.
"Grimm" Season 5 will air on October 30, 2015.
