Baby Lisa Irwin Missing: Have Kansas City Police Stopped Searching for Baby Lisa?
Police in the Lisa Irwin case have had no major organized search of the 11-month-old Kansas City, Mo., girl in two weeks, according to KMBC.com.
It has also been reported that, according to police, "The number of tips in the case has begun to slow down."
In the past police have noted their pursuit of over 1100 tips, yet none has resulted in a definitive lead.
The latest reported tangible lead centered on the husband of next door neighbor Samantha Brando. Suspicions arose when Brando's husband moved out of the house on the day Lisa was reported missing, but according to investigators, Brando and her husband had been seeing a marriage counselor who advised the couple to conduct a trial separation.
The husband reportedly moved out around 5:00 p.m. on Oct. 3. Lisa is reported to have been last seen at 6:30 p.m. that day.
Brando's husband, according to CNN's HLN program, with Jane Velez-Mitchell, reportedly slept over at the home of a friend. He apparently revealed to police text messages between himself and his wife during the night of Oct. 3. At 10:33 p.m., he declared his love for his wife and daughter, and requested that the wife kissed their daughter for him.
The man then explained to CNN that he retired to bed and awoke the next morning at 5:00 a.m. to report to work at the Whiteman Air Force Base. He then related that he received a call from his wife, who informed him at 5:59 a.m. on Oct. 4 that Lisa was missing.
The police might be suffering from a lack of tangible leads or individuals to pursue in this case, but could it also be that they have already decided on a suspect and therefore have no need for a continued search? Either way, it could be just a matter of time before the truth is revealed.
