Beyonce 'IV' Tattoo on Wedding Ring Finger Retouched?
Beyoncé Knowles' may have retouched the tattoo on her wedding ring finger after months of speculation that she was getting it removed following rumors of issues within her marriage.
Beyoncé, the 32-year-old singer, has been spotted without the marking on her wedding ring finger in recent months. While at a recent basketball game, publications like E! Online highlighted the visibly faded ink that could have happened over time or been removed with laser treatments.
Now, she is shutting down the rumors in an Instagram photograph where she is spotted rehearsing for an upcoming tour with the "IV" tattoo on her wedding ring finger seeming to be more visible than ever. Beyoncé has been married to rap mogul Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter for six years, and the tattoo IV ring has symbolized their union publicly or the same amount of time.
The IV symbol is important to the singer, since it symbolizes her husband's December 4 birthday, her September 4 birthday and their April 4 wedding anniversary. While an image on the singer's personal website shows her with a bandage placed over the tattoo, it is unclear whether the inking was purposely removed.
The speculation comes after rumors have been swirling about why Beyoncé's sister Solange Knowles has physically attacked Jay Z after the recent Met Gala in a video that has gone viral. Beyoncé has previously made it clear that her marriage is not as glamorous as everybody believes.
"People just think, 'Oh how glamorous, two celebrities are together,'" Knowles told Britain's More! magazine last year. "No, first of all, a relationship takes a lot of work, but you have to work on yourself ... you have to make yourself happy."
Still she has spoken about just how much her 44-year-old husband has changed her life.
"I would not be the woman I am if I did not go home to that man," Knowles told Winfrey on "Oprah's Next Chapter" last year. "And, it just gives me such a foundation. That foundation is so important in a relationship and just to have someone that you just like, you know, is so important and someone that is honest."
In her documentary "Life Is But a Dream" that premiered last year, the singer even described knowing the reality of God when looking at her husband.
"God is real and God lives inside of me and inside of all of us and it doesn't matter where I am, I know that and I feel it," Beyoncé said in between takes, showcasing her then 1-year-old daughter Blue Ivy in the documentary. "Like right now I'm hot– it's a tingling. It's love. I feel it when I look at my child, I feel it when I look at my husband. It's God."
