Wednesday's 90-minute finale of the "Big Brother" had three contestants in the fray - Steve, Vanessa and Liz. These three had been good friends during the entire season, standing up for each other and all. But now it was 'Each man for himself.'

With Vanessa soon out, the final contest came down to Steve Moses and the second finalist Liz Nolan. Both answered questions which the jury posed them about why they deserved to win the $500,000 grand prize. Moses got 6 out of 9 jury votes that made him the winner of "Big Brother" Season 17.

Steve Moses had declared himself to be a "super fan" of the reality show. But he had different thoughts about actually taking part in "Big Brother." He was not so confident of getting along with other cast members. He had written in his cast bio, "The most difficult part would be dealing with stupid people who choose to completely disregard the consequences of their actions. It's much harder to reason with people who are too nearsighted to even try to think strategically and be in the position where I have to deal with them will be a struggle."

James Huling earned the title of America's Favorite Houseguest and got $25,000.

CBS is ready for "Big Brother" Season 18 as the show has already gotten the renewal. According to CBS, casting has kicked off online plus open-casting calls will return in the spring.
