Some of the best bargain prices offered by CVS, some of which may be lower for members of the drugstore's Extra Care Rewards Program, include $18.88 for a dB Progressive Scan DVD Player, $5.88 for Vicks Nyquil, Dayquil products, $5.00 Snuggies, $3.99 for Sheets Energy Strips, $4.97 for Robitussin or Dimetapp products, $4.99 Essence of Beauty gift sets and $18.88 for select household appliances, according to theblackfriday.com.
This year, many major retailers are extending their hours and opening earlier on Black Friday to accommodate consumer demand. Stores such as Macy's, Target, Toys R'Us and Best Buy have announced that they will be opening at midnight to gain a leg up on the competition this holiday season, most of which have never opened that early before. Kohl's will also be opening at midnight for the first time this year and will stay open for the next 24 hours.
"The state of the economy will definitely affect how consumers plan and shop this holiday," said Kevin Mansell, Kohl's chairman, president and chief executive officer in a statement. "We understand they feel pressure to find the best gifts at an incredible value, and that's what we will deliver. From opening our stores at 12 a.m. the day after Thanksgiving - our earliest opening ever - to offering deeper savings opportunities throughout the holidays, we are making shopping easy and even more convenient this holiday season."
