Blackberry Venice Specs, Release Date: New Handset to Run Android, Shows Android-Like On-Screen Keyboard
Earlier this year, Canada-based manufacturer Blackberry showed everyone a glimpse of its upcoming device. Codenamed Blackberry Venice, the smartphone sports a slider keyboard below the screen.
The slider keyboard will be the user's convenient way to type long texts, paragraphs, letters, emails, etc. While this is pretty cool and convenient, especially for people who are still finding it difficult to type on a touch screen, there may be times that the user only needs to key in a few words, or even letters. In these instances, having to slide the keyboard out could be more of a nuisance rather than a practicality.
That's why we're pretty relieved that a new leak about the Blackberry Venice has surfaced. This time around, the image leak showed the smartphone sporting an on-screen keyboard.

There may be no perfect on-screen keyboard for any kind of smartphone, but when the task you need is only to key in a few characters, they are very easy to use. And that's probably why the manufacturer decided to include the on-screen keyboard to complement the slide-out physical keypad.
In recent months, there have been reports that the upcoming Blackberry smartphone will finally come with Android out of the box. The alleged leaked image of the Blackberry Venice shows an on-screen keyboard that resembles the stock Android keyboard.
Other alleged details about the device state that it will become available in November and will be offered by AT&T.
Last year, Blackberry made a comeback in the smartphone world after almost selling itself in 2013 due to financial woes and other issues. Thankfully, the Blackberry Passport and Classic were huge hits in the smartphone market.
