According to Business Insider, Parr was a “critical... brand on the site.” His three-year career with Mashable was to be extended until at least July next year as a condition of his staggering bonus.

However, when a new editor took over he was suddenly fired in a move that has stunned many onlookers considering his massive recently given bonus.

Parr wrote: “I’m exploring options in... the entertainment world.”
