Bobbi Kristina Funeral Heartbreak Pushes Her Towards Drugs
The emotions of attending her mother's funeral Saturday were reportedly too much for Bobbi Kristina, who disappeared following the event. However, it has now been reported that Whitney Houston's daughter turned to drugs as a plea for help in the aftermath of a heartbreaking and overwhelming funeral for her.
According to the Daily Beast, Whitney Houston's daughter, 18 year old Bobbi Kristina, could not be found Sunday morning, the day her mother was laid to rest.
"Everyone was freaking out and calling Bobbi Kristina's cell," a source told the Daily Beast. "It was so much commotion and activity after the funeral that Bobbi Kristina just slipped away."
After the burial Sunday, however, sources told the Daily Beast that Bobbi Kristina was found in a hotel "getting high."
"It's a horrible situation for everybody," the source said. "They tried to save Whitney, and it didn't work. Now with Bobbi Kristina, they fear the same thing is happening again and they won't be able to stop it either."
According to TMZ, Bobbi Kristina has struggled with substance-abuse issues for several years and her family is eager to get her into rehab.
At the funeral service Saturday, Bobbi Kristina reportedly "broke down" during the ceremony, but did "pretty good, all considering," a mourner told People magazine.
Another source from the funeral claimed that it was her father, Bobby Brown, who made Bobbi Kristina go over the edge. Brown arrived at the funeral with nine people, including two of his children from another marriage, even though his invitation only allowed himself and two further guests to attend. When funeral organizers refused to make room for all his guests he reportedly became agitated, and later left the funeral after just 20 minutes.
"That was just too much for Bobbi Kristina to handle. All that drama, and Cissy finally asked him to come in and stay, but Bobby wouldn't. Cissy only did that to help Bobbi Kristina, because Cissy cannot stand Bobby. She just didn't want a big drama with him on that day of all days," according to source close to the family.
