Bobbi Kristina's Aunt Asks Dr. Phil Not to Give Nick Gordon a Platform Amid Suspicions
Bobbi Kristina Brown's aunt will speak out against Nick Gordon, the boyfriend of her hospitalized niece, during an appearing on an upcoming episode of The Dr. Phil Show.
The daughter of late singer Whitney Houston and former R&B star Bobby Brown, has been hospitalized since Jan. 31. Bobbi Kristina, 22, was not conscious after she was found in a tub in the home she shared with boyfriend Gordon.
While clips have aired of Gordon grieving Bobbi Kristina's medical issues on The Dr. Phil Show which will air on television March 11, her aunt Leolah Brown took to Facebook to speak out about the upcoming show. In an open letter to Dr. Phil McGraw, Leolah speaks about her family's suspicions of Gordon.
For that reason, she requested that Gordon would not be allowed to speak to the media until the investigation is complete.
"Dr. Phil, With all due respect, Nick Gordon is under investigation for the attempted murder of my niece Bobby Kristina Brown," Leolah wrote. "We have strong evidence of foul play. Until this investigation is completed by law enforcement, I would ask that you or anyone else would not provide this individual a platform to spin this situation to his benefit."
She went on to provide some insight about her family's issues with Gordon.
"If Nick Gordon does not have the courage to speak with my brother Bobby Brown and/or law enforcement about what happened the day my niece's body was found in a bathtub," she wrote. "He does not deserve to have a platform to speak to anyone of your caliber until this investigation is concluded. Respectfully, Leolah Brown."
In a clip for The Dr. Phil Show, Gordon is sobbing with his mother Michelle alongside him as he and McGraw try to sort out his issues with drugs and alcohol, and dealing with the loss of Houston three years ago along with his girlfriend's ailing health.
The title on the Dr. Phil Show website calls Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend, "Distraught and Out of Control: The Nick Gordon Intervention."
The website also says Michelle "fears for her son's life, as he battles drug and alcohol addiction and has become increasingly self-destructive," while posing the question "will Nick accept Dr. Phil's offer of help?"
