Bobby Brown Unhappy With Bobbi Kristina Engagement?
Bobby Brown, the singer and father to 20-year-old Bobbi Kristina Brown, is not happy that his daughter is engaged to family friend Nick Gordon.
Brown, 44, recently caught up with TMZ where he revealed his thoughts about his daughter's recently announced engagement.
"'I'm not [happy]. When your daughter gets married it's just different," the elder Brown told TMZ. "When he calls me I'll figure it out."
Bobbi Kristina, who is also the daughter of the late singer Whitney Houston, recently announced her engagement to Gordon on Twitter.
"My gorgeous fiancée @nickdgordon & I on the boardwalk," she tweeted. "Yes… I'm MADLY in love with this phenomenal man. (truly happier than ever)."
The aspiring actress and singer let it be known that she was not interested in what her critics had to say about the matter.
"People need to seriously stop judging my relationship. Pretty sure it's my own decision who I want to be with," she wrote. "It is my life and not yours. The decisions I make have nothing to do with you."
Despite what her father thinks about the situation, Bobbi Kristina insists that her mother would approve.
"I'm tired of hearing people say eww you're engaged to your brother or if Whitney was still alive would we be together or would she approve of this," Brown wrote on Facebook. "Let me clear up something, we aren't even real brother and sister nor is he my adoptive brother. My mom never adopted him."
Brown went on to reveal that her mother predicted she and Gordon would one day make their relationship romantic.
"In fact, mommy was the one who even said that she knew that we were going to start dating. My mom knows me better than any of you," Brown wrote in the Facebook post. "A lot of yall are saying that y'all are only saying this all out of love. Which is bull because if that was so, all you would want is for me to be happy."
