Brad Pitt: My Life Was 'Pathetic' Before Angelina Jolie (PHOTOS)
Brad Pitt has told that his life was a "pathetic sham" before he met Angelina Jolie in an interview with U.S. newspaper supplement Parade.
According to reports by People Magazine, Brad Pitt admitted in the interview: “I'm satisfied with making true choices and finding the woman I love, Angie, and building a family that I love so much."
He confessed also that making Angelina the mother of his kids was one of the “smartest things” he ever did. For Pitt, Jolie “is such a great mum.”
"A family is a risky venture, because the greater the love, the greater the loss," he adds. "That's the trade-off,” said the actor according to the reports.
However, Pitt also confessed that life was not always so blissful. He told Parade about his early days of fame when he struggled to deal with all the attention he was getting.
"I spent the '90s trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony," he admits. "I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic. It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn't living an interesting life myself."
Regarding his marriage to Jennifer Aniston, he said it wasn't the golden love story it appeared to be.
"I think that my marriage had something to do with it," he said. "Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn't."
Pitt and Jolie have yet to officially tie the knot, but apparently their relationship is making the famous actor pleased and happy.
"I'm so happy to have her," Pitt says.
