Levi Johnston, the 21-year-old who gained attention after the world learned that he would father the grandson of Sarah Palin out of wedlock in 2008, is gearing up to become a father once again.

Johnston and girlfriend Sunny Oglesby, a 20-year-old schoolteacher, are expecting their first child, according to TMZ. The pair has reportedly been dating since 2010, months after Johnston and Palin's daughter Bristol called off their engagement for the second time.

Johnston became publicly known after it was revealed that he would be the father of Bristol's child, while the Palin matriarch was acting as the Republican vice presidential candidate during the 2008 U.S. elections.

TMZ reports that Johnston has been telling friends that he is excited about the new pregnancy, which is reportedly less than three months along. However, the soon-to-be father said the Palins have prohibited him from seeing the son that he shares with Bristol.

The Palin family has seemingly been at odds with Johnston for years. After the Palin pregnancy was unveiled at the Republican National Conventional in 2008, Johnston became engaged to the woman who carried his child for the first time.

Still, the pair never made it down the aisle and broke off the engagement shortly after their son Tripp was born in 2008. Since then, Palin's daughter vowed to be celibate while the father of her child posed in Playboy magazine the next year.

Johnston followed up his stint with the publication by writing about the Palin family in a biography titled Deer in the Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin's Crosshairs, which was published last year. In the memoir, he claimed that the former Alaska governor had a "cougar crush" on him while he was dating Bristol and insinuated that she exaggerated her Christian faith.

"They chose Sarah! She's been picked by McCain," Johnston wrote in the book. "Sarah told the world that her being chosen was God's plan. It would be the first time I had ever heard her mention the fella."

Soon after, Palin's daughter released her own autobiography titled Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far in which she defended her family from what she called false accusations and claimed Johnston took advantage of her. After years of issues with the Palin family, TMZ reported that Johnston is "so excited" to have a new family.
