Bruce Jenner Fights Cancer and Rumors
Bruce Jenner reportedly had a cancerous growth removed from his face recently.
Jenner reportedly underwent surgery to remove what Us Weekly reported as being a cancerous growth. Jenner, the 62-year-old stepfather to Kim Kardashian, appeared at a Lakers game recently sporting a new scar on his face.
While the Kardashian and Jenner family watched Khloe's husband, Lamar Odom, and the Dallas Mavericks beat the Los Angeles Lakers, many more were watching the scar on Bruce's face.
The former Olympian is no stranger to procedures on his face. In 2009, Kim spoke about issues Jenner has had with previous surgeries.
"Twenty five years ago, Bruce was ill-advised by a doctor to have a partial facelift and a nose job. Unfortunately, the result wasn't what Bruce had hoped for and for years since then he has been the victim of cruel taunts from the media," Kim said.
"Since he's turning 60 in October, Bruce felt it was time to correct the mistakes made by the previous doctor so he went to a new doctor for a second face lift," she explained.
Although Jenner did not confirm or deny whether the growth was related to his multiple surgeries in any way, the family spoke about their feelings concerning cosmetic procedures with Access Hollywood in a previous interview.
Kris, the family's matriarch, spoke about the family placing importance on appearances in the household.
"We all want to look our best, put our best foot forward. Feel good about ourselves and whatever it takes than that's what you should do," Kris told Access Hollywood. "In this family we're all really accepting of one another."
Most recently, Kris' husband's name made headlines when the ex-wife of her first husband, Robert, said that Bruce was a cross dresser.
"That is such a 70s story," Kris Jenner told Good Morning America recently. "It's like now they're running out of things to talk about. It's just so crazy."
