Bruce Jenner Quits Kardashian Reality Show; Wants Fresh Start, Privacy
Bruce Jenner is reportedly quitting "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" as sources claim the former Olympic athlete wants a fresh start outside of Hollywood.
The E! star, 64, appears on the show's current season nine but he will reportedly leave the world of reality TV after filming ends.
For years viewers have watched Jenner's life played out on the hit reality show and insiders claim he is now ready to live more privately as his kids have become more of a priority. He is hoping to reinvent his life outside of showbiz and will spend time enjoying hobbies such as golfing, family time, flying helicopters and riding motorcycles, according to TMZ.com.
In October, Jenner announced his separation from Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner, 58, after 22 years of marriage. The estranged couple share two teenage daughters Kendall and Kylie in addition to their respective stepchildren.
Viewers of the family's hit show often saw the pair squabble over petty differences and eventually Jenner moved out of the family's Calabasas mansion and into his own Malibu pad. He is now permanently based in Malibu and wants nothing to do with showbiz.
"Bruce is tired of having their lives filmed for public consumption," a source told RadarOnline before the couple's separation announcement. "This isn't the first time their marriage has hit a rough patch, but this time it could end in divorce."
Jenner has been subject to bizarre sex change rumors in recent months after he underwent a "laryngeal shave" procedure to flatten his Adam's Apple. In addition to the surgery, he has been sporting long hair and manicured nails however Kris recently insisted he is not transitioning to become a woman.
"Ninety-nine percent of the stuff in the tabloids is made up," Kris told "Entertainment Tonight."
"I think when he gets his nails buffed they put clear [nail polish]," she explained. "The bottom line is we sell magazines."
Jenner himself previously denied that he is undergoing any transition but admitted that he does not like his trachea.
"I just never liked my trachea," he told TMZ.com prior to his surgery.
