Cantinas Music Festival Announced, the 'Christian Coachella'
The Cantinas Ranch Foundation has announced a new event deemed the "Christian Coachella," taking place at the Paso Robles Event Center on August 25.
Cantinas Music Festival is predicted to attract at least 3,500 guests and will feature three days of family friendly festival-style entertainment followed by an evening of live performances by today's top Christian artists.
Headlining the first annual event is the number one Christian rock group in the U.S. MercyMe. Also, The Newsboys, Building 429, The Groovaloos, and new pop artist Kylie Hughes will be performing.
Event organizers Wayne and Wendy Hughes created the festival with goals to redeem the arts by encouraging talented teen and college-level artists and promoting healthy family Christian values.
Tickets are available for $33 online now at CantinasMusicFestival.com. Military personnel are offered a 15 percent discount. Special tickets to the VIP Lounge which includes dinner and adult beverages for ages 21 over and complimentary childcare and parking are available for $125.
Cantinas Music Festival will host community vendors including local artists, church booths, street vendors, and food concessions. Moreover, the event will offer children face painting stations, a photo booth and "walking on water" with a bubble fan. Family entertainment will include Embassador Skateboarders and the dance crew God Squad, among many other offerings.
Additionally, the Cantinas Ranch Foundation kicked off the Cantinas Worship Song Competition- a national Christian singer/songwriter talent competition being conducted online now. Video submissions must include an eligible artist performing an original Christian-themed song that he or she wrote for the contest.
The top three finalists will perform at the inaugural Cantinas Music Festival on August 25 and compete for a chance to win a $2,000 cash prize.
