Carrie Underwood Falls Onstage, 'It's Not Broken!'
Carrie Underwood is recovering from both the embarrassment as well as an injury resulting from a slight tumble during a concert earlier this week.
The country music superstar was performing in Corpus Christi, Texas on Thursday when she took an unexpected tumble.
Wearing high-heeled boots turned out to be a mistake for Underwood when the stiletto got caught on the end of her very long shirt, tripping the singer and swiftly bringing her down onstage.
Incredibly, Underwood only missed one note during the haphazard move. Watch a video of the fall posted to Instagram by an audience member here.
Afterward, the "American Idol" alum took to Twitter to poke fun at herself, and blamed the fall on her very high heels.
"Hey, remember that time in Corpus Christi when that girl busted her butt on stage?! Hilarious," the singer posted. "Oh wait, that was me! #5inchheels #klutz"
Despite her lighthearted humor on the fall, the "Jesus Take the Wheel" singer sustained an injury and asked her followers, "I can't move my toes. Is that bad?"
Later, Underwood wrote, "Good news, it's not broken… AND I got some new footwear!"
The post included Underwood propped up on a bed with a medical boot adorning her left leg from her calf down to her toes.
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old singer was recently named the co-host of this year's CMA Awards alongside Brad Paisley, marking the sixth duo's sixth time hosting the event.
The 47th annual CMA Awards will air Nov. 6 on ABC from Nashville, Tenn.
Also, Underwood recently debuted her version of the theme song for "Sunday Night Football." The busy singer recorded the new version of "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night," taking over for Faith Hill whose version was used for six seasons.
