Carrie Underwood, Steven Tyler in Amazing 'Crossroads' Duet (VIDEO)

Former "American Idol" Carrie Underwood and the show's current judge Steven Tyler have reunited this Super Bowl weekend to perform together in a highly anticipated duet.

The pair's upcoming "Crossroads" duet slot together was reportedly fiercely rehearsed and the two singers belted out the special collaboration for fans.

Photos were posted up on the web earlier this week that show Underwood hitting some impressive high notes with the Aerosmith music legend.

The pictures reveal the two standing on a stage, with Underwood spackled in glitter, and Tyler's microphone strewn with ribbons.

The two singers have in fact sung together previously. Nearly a year ago at the 2011 ACMs Underwood and Tyler made their debut duet together.

Tyler and Underwood delighted fans during the "CMT Crossroads: Steven Tyler and Carrie Underwood Live From the Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam" special.

Tyler has recorded music and performed with Aerosmith for more than 41 years. He is included among Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Singers, and is also ranked 3rd on Hit Parader's Top 100 Metal Vocalists of All Time. In 2001 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Aerosmith.

Underwood won the fourth season of American Idol in 2005. Over the past seven years she has become a multi-platinum selling recording artist, a winner of several Grammy Awards, Billboard Music Awards and American Music Awards.
