CCN, BarnaFilms Launch Newest in Christian Talent Showcases
All American Gospel welcomes solo vocalists between the ages of 14-22 with a diverse range of musical influences from traditional hymns, to pop to rock.
Exalting Him, Gospel Dream, and now All American Gospel - the newest addition to the Christian talent showcase phenomenon, which was unveiled yesterday by Church Communication Network (CCN) Entertainment and BarnaFilms.
The inspiration to launch All American Gospel came directly from the enthusiasm of Christian young people all around the United States and their passion to be in community with one another, reads a statement on the shows website. Our desire is to develop a creative showcase for young people inside of the Kingdom of God with a foundation of shared values and profound passion.
Unlike any other talent competition, All American Gospel will hold auditions in up to 10,000 local churches across the country. From a group of up to two million contestants, 12 finalists will eventually be chosen by audience vote to participate in a series of six elimination rounds that will be broadcast into churches around the country. The winner of the competition will receive a recording contract with Doxology records as well as embark on a concert tour sponsored by relief organization World Vision.
All American Gospel brings together four of the most powerful influencers in our culture today: music, television, relationships, and faith, says George Barna, Directing Leader of The Barna Group. This experience transcends mere entertainment. It will leave a lasting impression on young people everywhere by facilitating spiritual reflection and commitment within a community context.
The contest welcomes solo vocalists between the ages of 14-22 with a diverse range of musical influences from traditional hymns, to pop to rock.
Registration deadlines for audition and simulcast sites end on Sept. 15 and contestant registration ends Sept. 21.
