Chad Johnson Arrest a Publicity Stunt, Predicted on 'Hard Knocks?'
Chad Johnson, NFL veteran wideout, was recently arrested after a domestic dispute involving reality television star and wife Evelyn Lozada. However, some are questioning if the incident is a publicity stunt after Johnson premiered on HBO's "Hard Knocks" predicting his arrest recently.
Although the Miami Dolphins decided to cut ties with Johnson following his arrest for allegedly head-butting his wife, the 34-year-old wide receiver spoke about getting into trouble in the first episode of "Hard Knocks" that premiered last week. In the episode of the HBO television show that will document the Miami Dolphins this season, Johnson promised Stuart Weinstein, the Dolphins' "Team Security Investigator," that he would be arrested.
"Stu, I promise I'm getting arrested when we're off," Johnson said on camera.

Weinstein responded to Johnson's claims by saying, "Call me I'll come get you."
After Johnson, who once changed his name to Ochocinco, told Weinstein he would appreciate the effort, his predictions recently came to life. While Lozada appeared on the "Hard Knocks" show with Johnson to detail how the newlyweds came together in matrimony, some questioned if the recent domestic dispute was a publicity stunt to promote their upcoming reality television show "Ev and Ocho" that is set to premiere next month on VH1.
"I'm still hoping this whole Chad/ Evelyn saga is a publicity stunt in poor taste," one person tweeted. "So soon after the wedding..I was really beginning to buy it."
However another person refused to believe that Johnson would risk his NFL career to boost the ratings for the television show that will document his wedding with Lozada.
"You think (Johnson) getting dropped by his team was too," one person questioned on Twitter.
Still, some insisted that nobody would use domestic violence as a way to promote their television show.
"IMO there's no way this Chad and Evelyn story is a publicity stunt," another person tweeted. "Domestic violence isn't a game. All marketers aren't unethical."
Johnson and Lozada were married on July 4, following a Nov. 2010 engagement that took place months after the two met on Twitter. However, Johnson has reportedly been ordered to stay away from Lozada while the domestic violence charges are pending.
