The Blues will look to have a strong showing after claiming a point in a gritty draw for their last Premier League match against Queen Park Rangers.
John Terry, who tweaked his knee during the QPR match could be fit to play after he trained with the club on Tuesday. If fit he would sure up a Chelsea defense that has been exploited recently.
Chelsea will also welcome the return of Juan Mata who is figured to start along with John Obi Mikel who is nursing a slight back injury.
There will be added motivation for club manager Roberto Di Matteo as he looks to become the first manager in history to lead his side to back-to-back Champion League titles.
Juventus will look to continue its winning form after getting results in the first three matches of Serie A, earning a convincing win against Genoa 3-1 on Sunday.
Even though Juventus will be without Coach Antonio Conte, who is serving a 10-month ban for not reporting his knowledge of a match-fixing scandal, the Italian club has no major injury problems to deal with.
Mirko Vucinic and Kwadwo Asamoah, who were on the sidelines for the victory against Genoa, look set to return. But Juventus will have to lean once again on Italian great Andre Pirlo who was arguably the best player during the Euro 2012 tournament this past summer.
However, Juventus will have their work cut out as Chelsea has proven to be very strong in the group stages of the competition over the years. The Blues are unbeaten in their last 26 Champions League matches at home.
