Usain Bolt is Sir Alex Ferguson's Guest of Honor at Manchester United
Usain Bolt was unveiled as Sir Alex Ferguson's special guest at Manchester United recently.
The fastest man on earth is not a man lacking in confidence and following his three gold medals at the London 2012 Olympics a few weeks back, Bolt insisted that he was good enough to get into the Manchester United soccer side.
Many took him to be joking and showing off his usual playful self, but after he called on Sir Alex Ferguson to give him a trial Rio Ferdinand, the England and Manchester United defender, said that he would speak to Ferguson for him.
Ferdinand tweeted to Bolt, "If you want that trial at Man Utd shout me – I'll speak to the boss!"
Bolt would certainly scare the life out of some Premier League defenses with his speed and power, but no one has seen his close ball skills.
However, Premier League defenders can breathe a sigh of relief as Bolt was not unveiled as a new Manchester United signing, but was simply Sir Alex's special guest for the Reds' fans.
Bolt has also reconfirmed that he has no plans on stopping sprinting, and that he would be looking to defend all three of his titles in the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games in 2016 if he can remain fit.
The world's fastest man was given free reign over Old Trafford, taking to the pitch and posing in his famous lightning bolt pose for fans. After his parade he took to the VIP area in the stands to watch the Manchester United game.
He cheekily tweeted to his Twitter fans a cell phone picture of Old Trafford, Manchester United's home ground, posting, "Guess where I am…"
He later also posted an image of Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, saying, "The game is on."
Rooney later had to leave the field injured after suffering a deep gash that could keep him out for up to four weeks, however, Bolt was celebrating at the final whistle as Manchester United won a thrilling game 3-2.
