Chris Brown Gay Rumors Flood Twitter After Explicit Image Goes Viral
Chris Brown was the subject of rumors about him being homosexual on Monday night, after a photoshopped picture of the 23-year-old R&B star engaging in homosexual activities went viral.
After the image with Brown's likeness went viral, "Chris Brown Gay" became a trending topic on the social networking website. While many took to Twitter to question the explicit image depicting Brown and two other males, others defended the singer after locating the same image showing another man replacing the Grammy Award winner.
"I ain't saying nothing just stating facts," one person tweeted about Brown's alleged homosexuality. "1. Frank Ocean comes out. 2. Chris Brown says he supports him. 3. Now this Chris Brown pic."
Another person seemed to think that it was unfair for somebody to post the picture of Brown, but still questioned if it could be real.
"That Chris Brown pic ppl keep posting ain't right (if it ain't true 0_O)... But you just Neverrr REALLY know," the person tweeted.
However, others recognized the image as a fake photograph and defended Brown.
"Chris Brown is NOT gay," one fan tweeted defending the singer. "This is photoshopped."
Another person decided to chastise whoever posted the explicit image of Brown's likeness engaged in a sex act.
"Please quit posting that gay (expletive) fake photoshop picture of Chris Brown," the person tweeted. "Smh. NOBODY wants to SEE that."
While Brown has yet to defend himself on the social networking website, he is no stranger to rumors concerning his sexual orientation. In May, reports surfaced about former R&B group B2K member Raz B alleging that Brown is gay in an unreleased book titled The Boy's Life, according to the New York Daily News.
Raz B reportedly became upset with Brown after the two engaged in a public Twitter feud last year, which ended in accusations of homosexuality.
"They say you never know who knows who. Chris Brown didn't think about that when he attacked me online," an excerpt from the book says, according to EurWeb. " I have a friend that's very close to Chris' camp who told me that Chris was involved with an up and coming songwriter Andre Merritt. So when Chris started going in calling people 'gay' ... I just dropped Andre Merritt's name. I knew it was true when he decided to shut up."
Brown responded to the claim with a threat of a lawsuit on Twitter.
"Lying about somebody in a book is called defamation of character. Keep feeding people (expletive) and ima end up owning you and that book! RAZ B," Brown tweeted. "God bless... My lawyers are handling it! Lol ima chill."
Fast forward a few months and some fans have grown tired of hearing or reading about Brown's sexual orientation.
"I'm tired of hearing about this Chris Brown thing," one person tweeted. "If he's gay, that's his business. There's bigger problems in the world other than that."
