In addition to recognizing today's top musical acts, Wednesday night's awards show saw live performances from the likes of Lenny Kravitz, Jason Aldean and Kacey Musgraves, among many others.

The night also saw unusual pairings of artists- Lady Antebellum teamed up with Darius Rucker on the famed song "Wagon Wheel" before the newcomer group Florida/Georgia Line collaborated with rapper Nelly onstage for the song "Cruise."

As for the winners of the evening, Underwood took home the coveted Video of the Year Award for her hit song "Blown Away." The trophy marked the singer's 10th CMT honor.

"Thank you so much," said Underwood during her acceptance speech. "You're amazing. I don't deserve this."

The "American Idol" alum took the stage again to perform her song "See You Again," during which audience members were urged to donate to causes benefitting those affected by the recent string of deadly tornados in Oklahoma.

Meanwhile, Lambert and her husband Blake Shelton also had a good night. The country music power couple took home three awards between them, including Performance of the Year for their duet "Over You."

In addition to taking home a trophy during the night, Lambert also performed her song "Mama's Broken Heart" for the live audience.

Lady Antebellum also had a big night, earning CMT's Croup Video of the Year Award.

"This is Hillary's maternity present come early," said the band's Charles Kelly of band mate Hillary Scott, who is eight months pregnant.

The last performance of the night was by Keith Urban, who wrapped up the awards show with his song "Little Bit of Everything."
