'Da Vinci's Demons' Season 3 Episode 3 Spoilers: Da Vinci Supports Pope Sixtus To Build Weapons Against The Turks

Things are about to get even more complicated as the third season of Starz's hit historical drama TV series "Da Vinci's Demons" continues this week with an episode that will see the show's protagonist giving his allegiance to Pope Sixtus for one common goal. Meanwhile, Clarice's dead body offers clues to her hideout.

Citing the spoiler report from IBTimes.com for the episode titled "Modus Operandi," it seems like the crisis involving the Turk invasion would force Da Vinci to pledge his allegiance to the Archbishop of Rome so that he could acquire the funds he needed to build an arsenal of war machines that he hoped could squash the Turks.

However, this won't sit well with Leo's friend, Zoroaster, who seems to be against the alliance. The charming, go-to guy for the inventor has long been in doubt over the true colors of the Pope and his minions. With the current dire situation, Leo might have to forgo Zoroaster's pleading and hope that the new partnership will bring good for everyone.

Sixtus, on the other hand, readily agrees with Leo's proposal but he gives the genius a condition that he must assist Riario in his investigation over the death of a powerful cardinal.

The pope, meanwhile, discovers something horrible during his leisure time. The summary of the segment indicates that the pontiff will discover Clarice's crucified body. Driven with panic, he calls on Leo to take a look at the deceased's body and urges him to find any clues that could tell them where her hideout is. But just as he is about to follow the evidence he found, Riario knocks the inventor down and delivers him to Carlo.

As Carlo tortures him, Da Vinci begins to see things.
