Dancing With the Stars Results: Dancers Perform, Elimination Tuesday
ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” has five remaining couples who will hit the dance floor for their eighth performances Monday night. The couples will await to see who will be eliminated on Tuesday after receiving scores from the judges.
Tonight will see a performance by Ricki Lake and pro dancer Derek Hough. The duo is widely believed to win the mirror ball trophy at the end of season 13 after having earned some of the best scores all season.
On Twitter ahead of Monday’s performance, Lake posted: “Happy Monday! Competition is getting serious on #DWTS! If U are cheering 4 #Drickilous @RickiLake @DerekHough 2night, hit RT.”
Nancy Grace also posted on Twitter before of Performance Night: “Tango! Instant jive! It’s hard to believe this is week 8! Tristan and I are working our tails off – will bring our best dance yet! #DWTS.”
She and partner Tristan MacManus have stayed toward the bottom of the score boards during past performances, and the 51-year-old has admitted the dancing is challenging. At the beginning of DWTS season 13, she revealed to ABC News that the decision was not without fear.
“Look at all the competition, they’re young, skinny, beautiful singers, soccer players, stars – I’m a lawyer,” said Grace.
Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke are Twitter’s most popular “DWTS” couple, and will perform on tonight’s episode as well.
Ahead of his performance, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star posted on his Twitter account: “Ok I need to really get on that #BEASTMODE diet this week cuz I got the quickstep and the jive next week and I’m gonna be out of breath!”
Also performing Monday will be J.R. Martinez and his partner Karina Smirnoff. The couple has coveted the highest scores of performance nights in the past, and is strong contenders for the mirror ball trophy.
Soccer star Hope Solo will be performing during week 8 alongside Maks Chmerkoviskiy. The couple has been at risk of elimination for receiving low scores from the judges during past performances.
