Dancing With the Stars: Rob Kardashian Shapes Up With Jive
Rob Kardashian has lost weight rehearsing for performances on this season’s “Dancing with the Stars,” similar to many contestants before him.
Requiring physical strength and finesse, learning dance steps and routines can cause major changes to contestant’s bodies, including past cast members like Kirstie Alley, Marie Osmond, and Jennie Garth.
The reality television star on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” has lost “a lot of weight,” according to his professional dance partner on “DWTS,” Cheryl Burke.
“His whole physical appearance has changed,” the dancer told People magazine of Kardashian. “He’s using different muscles. He’s super sore all the time. I’m not sure if he’s changing his diet, but the cardio is really good.”
Burke divulged that she believes Kardashian lost the most weight while learning the jive in the first week of the television show, “because it’s so fast-paced.”
She added, of her partner’s dancing: “He’s a quick learner, he picked up the Foxtrot in on day. Now it’s a matter of making the quality of the dance good.”
The dancing duo scored 24 points for their performance of the Foxtrot on Monday night’s “Most Memorable Year of Your Life” episode.
Also slimming down with rigorous dancing on “DWTS” is former talk show host Ricki Lake. Joining this year’s cast; the star said she has lost over twelve inches in three weeks.
“It’s not a bad way to get in shape for your wedding,” she told People magazine.
The third elimination of “Dancing with the Stars” will be announced Tuesday night during the results show, airing on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.
Tuesday’s episode will also include a performance by singer Mary J. Blige.
After the third couple is eliminated, nine will remain in the competition for the mirrorball trophy.
