David Crowder's 'Collision Tour' Kicks Off Sept. 27
The tour will hit 33 cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Seattle, Portland, Denver, Dallas and Orlando.
Worship-centered rock group the David Crowder Band will be partnering with fellow Texans Shane & Shane and the Robbie Seay Band for the Collision Tour, which will kick off on Sept. 26.
We're really looking forward to the upcoming tour, says David Crowder. We have been great friends with the Shanes and Robbie's band for a long time, and have talked about putting a tour together for a good while. Plus, the thought of seeing these new songs come to life in a live setting, with the visual presence of attachment to lives, is really exciting.
"We're excited about this tour," says Shane Everett of Shane & Shane. "We hope folks will come out and join us. It's a band of Texas boys coming together with one heart, and it's going to be fun."
The tour will hit 33 cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Seattle, Portland, Denver, Dallas and Orlando. A full itinerary can be found below.
The David Crowder Band will be touring in support of its upcoming album, A Collision, which releases Sept. 27. The groups first full-length studio album in two years, A Collision was born out of another conversation between Crowder and the same physics student that inspired the bands number-one-selling sophomore release Illuminate , which explored the empirical facts about light, translating them into revelation of God and creation.
Crowder recounts the conversation:
We were outside of my barn just talking when he said to me, Have you ever noticed the sky goes all the way to the ground? Its like sky and then ground and were somewhere in between-our feet are on the ground but were walking around in the sky, and immediately I thought, Thats our reality as Christians-redemptions found us but were still in a desperate spot, said Crowder.
Shane & Shane will be releasing their first DVD/CD combo, An Evening With Shane and Shane, Sept. 13, while newcomer Robbie Seay Band's national debut, Better Days, released Aug. 16.
