Deion Sanders' Kids 'Scared for Their Lives' After Pilar's Alleged Attack
NFL Star Asks Twitter Followers to Keep Family in Their Prayers
Deion "Prime Time" Sanders, NFL Hall-of-Famer, was involved in a domestic dispute with ex-wife of 12 years, Pilar Sanders. The former NFL star alleged that his soon-to-be ex-wife attacked him, and has asked Twitter followers to pray for his family during the tough time.
Pilar Sanders, 38, was arrested Monday night and taken to the Collin County, Texas jail where a misdemeanor violence charge was reportedly filed against her. The former NFL player took to his Twitter account to inform followers about what took place.
"Pray for me and my kids now," Sanders tweeted. "They just witnessed their mother and a friend jump me in my room. She's going to jail and I'm pressing charges!"
Sanders, 44, admitted that he was emotional after his children had to witness the violent incident.
"I'm sad my boys witnessed this mess but I warned the police department here that she was (going to) try and harm me and my boys," Sanders continued on Twitter. "This is on my mama."
The NFL star opened up to KXAS-TV news station in Dallas after the incident and admitted that he feared for his life with Pilar Sanders in the picture.
"My kids, they are scared for their life. They just saw two women jump their dad in his own house, in his room. It's sad," Sanders told the television station. "I got locks on my doors right now. Is somebody going to have to die? Is it going to be me before the court does something and get this woman out of my house?"
Sanders filed for divorce against his spouse last year, and his soon-to-be ex-wife sued the former NFL star for $200 million last March. PIlar Sanders filed a lawsuit saying that she was abused both physically and emotionally during the marriage which resulted in humiliation and the loss of finances, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Sanders took to his Twitter account Tuesday to speak about the strength it took to walk away from his ex-wife while she allegedly attempted to assault him.
"Strength is not only based on what you can lift, push, pull, press, carry, hold or squat," Sanders tweeted. "It's also measured by what you can walk away from!"
