Demi Moore Dines with Male ‘Friend’
Demi Moore, who recently announced her divorce from Ashton Kutcher, has been seen having dinner with a mystery man in Los Angeles over the weekend.
The 49-year-old actress was absent from her daughter Tallulah Willis’ debutant debut in Paris Saturday, but was spotted alongside florist Eric Butterbaugh.
A source spoke to Us Weekly saying the male companion is a friend of Moore’s.
“They are BFF’s,” said the insider. “Totally platonic friends.”
Butterbaugh accompanied then-couple Moore and Kutcher on their camping trip in October amidst news of trouble in their marriage.
According to the magazine, the source reported that Moore “seemed fine, in a good mood and laughing” despite her pending divorce. “She was just with her friend having a nice night out.”
The restaurant, which first reported the sighting of the actress, told The New York Post that “Demi looked good, and like she was ready to be seen out,” and added that the companions were “in deep conversation.”
Meanwhile, Moore’s soon-to-be ex-husband was reportedly “swarmed by girls” while out partying following the divorce announcement. Kutcher spent Thanksgiving in his home state of Iowa, and posted a picture of himself in a cow pasture on his Twitter account with the caption, “Country Giving.”
“He was swarmed by girls,” said Emily Krajicek, speaking to People magazine of Kutcher’s visit home. The waitress at The Sports Column bar added “He was swarmed by guys as well. You couldn’t get to his table. People were asking what songs he wanted to hear. He was singing, having fun.”
The end of Kutcher’s six-year marriage to Moore was announced Nov. 17, and since the news broke, both actors have avoided the public eye.
Moore also only recently resurfaced on Twitter after posting a message on Thanksgiving. The actress was formerly known for being very active on the social media site, but following the reports of her marital troubles she has remained mostly silent.
The actress, still tweeting under the Twitter handle @MrsKutcher, broke her Twitter silence with a message about appreciation last Thursday.
Moore wrote, "Why do we have only 1 day for giving thanks? Is that why so many people feel unappreciated? Make this 1 of 365 days of Thanksgiving!"
Kutcher also made a rare post on the site Thanksgiving Day writing, “I'm thankful for my family, friends, you, & time to reach my potential. What are you thankful for?"
The “Two and a Half Men” star had not written on his account since Nov. 17, the day Moore issued a statement about the divorce.
