Droid Razr M to Launch Next Week, Pre-Orders Now Available
Motorola and Verizon will launch the new Droid Razr M smartphone next week.
The new device was unveiled by the company yesterday at a media event alongside the Droid Razr HD and Droid Razr Maxx HD.
The Razr M features similar specs except it comes with a smaller display at 4.3-inches. It comes with the same dual-core processor found in the Razr HD and features 40 percent more screen size than the iPhone 4S. It also has Android 4.1, JellyBean pre-installed and is moderately priced at $99 with a new 2-year- agreement.
The Droid Razr M will be available in stores next week.
All three of these new Motorola smartphones have impressive hardware under the hood including a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and 1080p HD recording.
The greatest different between the Razr HD and Razr HD Maxx is battery life.
"You can simply do more without the worry of battery life," said Senior Vice President of Product Management Rick Osterloh regarding what the Maxx brings to the table.
The Maxx HD features an impressive 2500mAh battery while the Razr HD has a 1780mAh. The more powerful battery on the Maxx HD allows the owner to listen to 27 hours of music, stream 10 hours of video, and have 21 hours of talk time.
The Razr HD is slightly less powerful, but still packs an impressive performance providing users with 10 hours worth of movie watching on a single charge along with six hours worth of voice-guided turn-by-turn GPS.
Both the Razr HD and Razr Maxx HD come with a 4.7-inch display that features the same clarity of an HDTV and 85 percent better color saturation and 50 percent more pixels per inch than the Apple iPhone 4S.
Unfortunately, Motorola did not provide the public with an exact release date for the Droid Razr HD or Maxx HD, but the company did promise that both devices would be available before the holidays.
