Emily Blunt Goes On $35K Shopping Spree for Baby Girl
Emily Blunt and her husband John Krasinki are preparing for their first child with a $35,000 shopping spree, according to reports this week.
Just as news surfaced that the Hollywood couple is expecting a baby girl, Blunt was spotted in Los Angeles' high-end baby store Petit Tresor.
The 30-year-old mother-to-be spent as much as the yearly income of a family of six living above the poverty level at the luxury store on Roberston Boulevard, according to TMZ.
Items for baby Blunt-Krasinki included a $6,780 crib and a changing table worth $4,880, according to the celebrity gossip website.
Blunt also purchased an Aspen Custom Pink Velvet Regency Glider nursing chair and stool as well as a Lulla Smith Cotton Saint Moses Basket, each worth several hundred dollars.
Meanwhile, Blunt is frequently photographed with her burgeoning baby bump, including during a luncheon on Wednesday alongside friends and fellow actresses Dianna Agron and Christa B. Allen, according to the Daily Mail.
Krasinki and Blunt have been married almost four years and announced the pregnancy back in September. In the past, both actors have been very vocal about their desire for a family.
"We want to have children," Blunt told Manhattan magazine last year. "I just don't know when yet. I'm not sure about the timing of all that. We're both from big families, so I think it's something we want."
Moreover, the couple recently purchased a new home in Ojai, Calif. which is nicknamed "The Shangri-La of Southern California." The 4,177-square foot, four-bedroom home is complete with solar panels, according to TMZ.
"They both want kids," said an insider speaking to Us Weekly last year. "It's one of the reasons they got a bigger place, in a neighborhood that you can raise a family. They both couldn't be more excited."
