Emily Maynard 'Sorry' She Gave Jef Holm Another Chance

Emily Maynard and Jef Holm once seemed the perfect couple, but after calling off the engagement, the two went their separate ways. Although it looked like they were reuniting on a date earlier this month, friends have said Maynard is "sorry" she gave Holm a second chance.

"She wasn't sure if they should go back out again, but she decided to give it a try and now she's really sorry," a friend told Radar Online. "Emily is really hurt by Jef."

The two were giving their relationship another chance when Maynard found out that Holm was out with another woman. It's the same scenario that caused her to break their engagement after appearing on "The Bachelorette." Friends and family accused both of cheating on the other, but Holm staunchly defended Maynard's reputation until the end.

It seemed as though Maynard was moving on with her life, making plans to appear on "Dancing With the Stars" and taking care of daughter Ricki. After the initial separation from Holm, Maynard tweeted a picture of Ricki with the caption: "The reason my heart smiles."

"Emily is at her wits end with Jef," the source told Radar Online. "He tells her that he wants to get back together, but then he turns around and goes out with other women! She's sick of it and she doesn't want her to continue to let him hurt her."

Maynard has been fiercely protective of daughter Ricki throughout her relationship with Holm, which has only gotten more and more complicated. Even though Ricki met Holm on "The Bachelorette," and spent time with him after he proposed to her mom, Maynard has tried to keep Ricki away from the limelight and all that is going on now.

"Emily doesn't want Ricki to know that she's upset by everything, so she's trying to hold it in and put on a brave face for her little girl," the source revealed.
