'Final Fantasy XV' Latest News: Game's Multiplayer Expansion Delayed, Now Set for November Release
Fans of "Final Fantasy XV" who are excited about its upcoming multiplayer expansion will have to wait a little bit longer.
Square Enix, over the weekend, announced via the game's official Twitter account that the expansion titled "Comrades" will now be released in early November. "Due to final adjustments & to create the best possible experience, the online expansion #FFXVComrades will now be released in early November," wrote the game developer.
The expansion was originally slated for launch on Oct. 31. According to IGN, "Comrades" will give players the ability to create their own avatars. Moreover, it will also offer an online quest between three players in Eos. Players will be given special powers coming from the Lucian bloodline to build a team that will tackle different kinds of challenges.

In addition, "Comrades" will also showcase single-player missions that give players the chance to improve and strengthen their players.
The expansion's delay was not the first issue "Final Fantasy XV" has experienced. Gamespot reported that the game's beta was launched to a bumpy start, no thanks to some server issues that led to Square Enix releasing a second beta phase.
Last month, game director Hajime Tabata shared in a Gamespot interview some of the things fans can look forward to for "Final Fantasy XV." He said that they are keen on improving different aspects of the game based on the fans' feedback.
"A lot of the major criticisms was that they felt the story was lacking in certain aspects. So for us, we did our best to give back and supplement those areas where people felt it was lacking," said Tabata.
He stressed that the game's online mode will offer something that will make the players become part of the story. As for the multiplayer, he said that they approach was aligned with their goal of giving back to their fan base, "and we're seeing that support pay off," Tabata added.
