5 things to know about Craig Robertson, man killed in FBI raid over social media death threats
1. He threatened Alvin Bragg, Joe Biden and other Democrat officials
In a March 18 post on Truth Social, Robertson directed a threat at Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan District Attorney who is prosecuting former President Donald Trump over his purported violation of campaign finance law by paying hush money to porn star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election.
“Heading to New York to fulfill my dream of iradicating [sic] another of George Soros two-bit political hach [sic] DAs,” the post in question read. “I’ll be waiting in the courthouse parking garage with my suppressed Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm to smoke a radical fool prosecutor that should have never been elected. I want to stand over Bragg and put a nice hole in his forehead with my 9mm and watch him twitch as a drop of blood oozes from the hole as his life ebbs away to hell! BYE, BYE, TO ANOTHER CORRUPT BASTARD!!!”
More recently, in an Aug. 7 post on social media, Robertson expressed a desire to harm Biden as he was slated to appear in Utah later that week: “I HEAR BIDEN IS COMING TO UTAH. DIGGING OUT MY OLD GHILLE SUIT AND CLEANING THE DUST OFF THE M24 SNIPER RIFLE. WELCOM, BUFFOON-IN-CHIEF!”

Previous Facebook posts from 2022 included additional threats directed at other Democrat-elected and appointed officials. In a Sept. 19, 2022, Facebook post, Robertson suggested that “the time is right for a presidential assassination or two.” His post included “First Joe then Kamala,” implying a desire to target both Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Later that week, Robertson had a message for New York Attorney General Letitia James, telling her “a sniper’s bullet does not recognize your qualified immunity b----!!!” In another Facebook post from that same day, Robertson referred to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland as a “demented weasel,” predicting that he would be “eventually hanged by the neck until dead.”
A Sept. 23, 2022, Facebook post contained the phrase “Death to Joe Biden” written down four times. The following week, a social media message directed to Garland once again addressed him as a “demented weasel” and encouraged him to “send your FBI Swat Team to my house.” Identifying himself as a “MAGA TRUMPER,” Robertson predicted that “you won’t because I fight back against cowards!!!”
An Oct. 3, 2022, Facebook post displayed a weapon Robertson owned, which he described as a “gas operated ‘POINT-N-SH**T’ NAIL DRIVER” that serves as a “Democrat Eradicator.” Another post from that same day condemned Biden as “a lying idiot” who is “destroying America,” followed by the phrase “Death to Biden” written down three times. An additional post from that week showed another one of Robertson’s weapons, which he labeled a “long range Democrat, [hypocrite] eradicator!”
The following week, Robertson posted a picture of another one of his weapons, which he identified as a “Merrick Garland eradication tool.” He asked the Attorney General if he was “coming for me with your FBI, you little DEMENTED WEASEL, cowardly a--hole?????”
That same day, Robertson identified himself as “100% anti-abortion,” asking why the “FBI cowards” were “not kicking in my door.” He answered his own question by declaring: “they will die.”
In an Oct. 17, 2022, Facebook post, Robertson fantasized about “standing over [California Gov.] Gavin Newsom with a wound above his brow and my suppressed S&W M&P 9mm still smoking.” He contended that such an occasion would amount to “FREEDOM FROM ‘STUPID’ DAY.”
