Floyd Mayweather Call T.I. 'Great Rapper,' Wishes Him the Best
Floyd Mayweather seems ready to bury the hatchet with rapper T.I. and is complimenting the latter's rap skills to prove it.
Mayweather, the 37-year-old boxing champion, was reportedly approached by the 33-year-old rapper who was born Clifford Harris after the former took an Instagram picture with the latter's wife, Tameka "Tiny" Harris. A brawl took place between T.I., Mayweather and their entourages and a number of reports surfaced questioning what the exact cause was.
It seems Mayweather is officially ready to move on from the ordeal, and spoke positively about T.I. during the premiere of "Think Like a Man Too" recently.
"I'm always going to be positive," Mayweather told HipHollywood.com recently. "T.I. is a cool rapper, he is a good rapper and I wish him nothing but the best."
According to Mayweather's previous account of the issues at hand, he and Tiny have been platonic friends for some time and she appeared with her friend Shekinah at his May 4 fight. After the fight, Tiny and Shekinah went to Mayweather's mother's home where a party was hosted in the boxer's honor.
Tiny took a picture with the boxer during the festivities, and posted the image for all to see on Instagram. However, T.I seemed to have a problem with the images. While Mayweather assured T.I. that he and the rapper's wife were only friends, he thought the issues was over.
However, things seemed to get worst when T.I approached Mayweather at a Fat Burger restaurant in Las Vegas after the rapper's wife attended the boxer's party.
"I said, 'Listen, don't come to my face with no disrespectful (expletive). Like I told you before, you must've forgot what I did for a living,'" Mayweather told Kane. "He said, 'You do in the ring, I do it in the streets.' I said, 'My man, I do it everywhere. You can find out if you want to.'"
After the exchange of words, a brawl broke out between the pair's camps and heated words were exchanged. In the process, Mayweather called Tiny some derogatory terms for which he felt the need to apologize.
"I do apologize to Tiny because she cool people, man ... She never been disrespectful to me," he told Kane. "I'm going to continue to support Tiny and Shekinah cause they're cool people and I don't got nothing against them..I want to apologize to the children and Tiny and Tiny's family for saying what I said."
