Former Avalon Member Cherie Adams Partners With Fruition Artist Agency
Cherie Adams, formerly of Sparrow Records pop group Avalon, has singed with Fruition Artist Agency to promote her debut solo album, The Sweet Life.
I am personally very excited about signing Cherie Adams to our agency, said Fruition Artist Agency President Carla Arhuletta. Cherie has a proven ministry and is one of the most genuine, talented and multi-faceted artists in Christian music. Im looking forward to sharing this journey with Cherie and seeing what the Lord has in store for her as she continues to move forward in this new chapter of her life and ministry.
The Sweet Life features a total of 11 new songs, with writing or co-writing credits for Adams on eight of the tracks. Other songwriters featured on the album include Robert White Johnson (writer for Celine Dion), Paul Brandt, Steve Rosen, and artists Scott Krippayne, Paul Brandt, and Cindy Morgan.
The albums first single, Water, which Cherie co-wrote with Paul Brandt and Steve Rosen will be serviced to AC and CHR radio formats in July.
Theres a story behind every song on this record, explains Adams. I wanted to write and sing songs that came from my hear, I wasnt thinking commercially when I wrote or selected these songs. I simply wrote about what was going on in my life at that time. Sometimes I wrote in strong faith and sometimes I wrote when my faith seemed to be reduced to nothing but a smoldering ember.
The Sweet Life can be purchased here at Cheries online store. Cherie is currently planning for a summer and fall tour.
Adams, who was part of Avalon from 1998 to 2002, has numerous accolades to her credit including an American Music Award, two Dove awards, two gold records and two Grammy nominations. "The Glory" Cherie's duet on the album Oxygen made Christian radio history when it became the first radio single ever to achieve 41 adds from all 41 reporting radio stations during its debut week. It was #1 for four weeks in a row along with another unbelievable hit, "Undeniably You," which was also #1 for four weeks. While with Avalon, Cherie had the opportunity to perform with several well-known secular artists such as Aaron Neville and Martina McBride. Formerly Cherie Paliotta, she married husband Kevin Adams in 2001. (www.cherieadams.com).
