Galaxy Nexus Release Date: Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus on the Way
Samsung has announced the launching of many anticipated devices, such as the Ice Cream Sandwich flagship device Galaxy Nexus.
The company is also releasing the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus in the United States. The new tablet will work in conjunction with home entertainment systems.
The tablet will feature Peel Smart Remote, which works efficiently with a built-in infrared sensor.
“Peel allows users to instantly find and watch their favorite TV shows and discover new shows based on their preferences, all with the tap of a screen,” wrote Samsung in a recent press release.
The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus will have a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor along with 1 GB of RAM, a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It will also sport an impressive 7-inch 1024x600 display.
The Galaxy Tab is expected to come with two memory capacities, including a 16 GB version and a 32 GB version. Android Honeycomb will also be pre-installed with a TouchWiz user-interface.
The Galaxy Tab Plus launches on Nov. 13 and will retail for $399. Pre-orders for the new device start Oct. 23.
The tablet’s top competitors will be Amazon’s Kindle Fire retailing for $199.
However, this Fire tablet does not have a camera or 16 GB RAM, which are included on Android 7.0 tablets.
The Galaxy Nexus smartphone, which is the closest handset to a tablet, is also expected launch sometime in November.
