Galaxy Note 2 Features Showcased in New Video
The Galaxy Note 2 features were showcased in a new video released by Samsung this week.
It is about eight minutes long and shows off the smartphone-tablet hybrid's large display, new multitasking options and the built-in applications that can be used with the stylus.
The video also shows the addition of two new Gallery views to the Note as well as the option to create folders and drag and drop images between them.
Samsung expects the Galaxy Note 2 to be one of the highest-selling gadgets of all time.
The device's release in South Korea was welcomed with a press conference, where Samsung's Head of Mobile Communications J.K. Shin made a bold prediction regarding the device.
He stated that the Galaxy Note 2 will sell three times as many units as the original Note in the first three months.
The original Galaxy Note sold around 1 million units within its first three months of being released and that was before it launched in the U.S. By the time Feb. 2012 rolled around, the device was released in the states, and Samsung tacked on another 1 million to the sales of the device. By August of this year, the Galaxy Note sold 10 million units, fulfilling projections made by industry insiders in the earlier part of 2012.
Samsung expects the Galaxy Note 2 to reach over 260 carriers in 128 markets, and launch in the U.S. on five of the major carriers in November.
The Galaxy Note 2 was confirmed to be coming to all major U.S. carriers last week by Samsung.
The company stated that AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile will offer their customers the smartphone tablet device on contract once it is ready for launch.
