Galaxy Note 2 to Be Released in Pink
The Galaxy Note 2 smartphone-tablet hybrid device will be available in pink.
The phablet will launch in that color in Taiwan sometime this month and it is targeted at the ladies. This would make for a great Valentine's Day gift for a wife or girlfriend who wants a new top-of-the-line smartphone. The pink version of the Galaxy Note 2 unlocked will cost around $740 and will launch before the end of this month.
The Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.1.2, JellyBean update, which brings the multi-window feature to the phablet, is now available in Canada, according to an announcement made by Samsung.
The electronics giant took to its Canada Facebook page to announce the availability of the upgrade in the nation.
"Big Game Special Announcement: Galaxy Note II owners with national carriers will begin receiving the Multi Window and Chinese language support update (Android 4.1.2) on Wednesday. Thanks for your patience Samsung Nation," wrote the company.
The Android 4.1.2, JellyBean update brings many new features to the Galaxy Note 2, such as new additions in notification toggles, the ability to customize the notification panel, smoother browser, new ink effect on lockscreen, and a new group cast application.
The Galaxy Note 2 price dropped last week to $199 for customers looking to purchase the device through Amazon Wireless.
The retailer is cutting the price of the smartphone-tablet hybrid and offering it with a new 2-year contract on Verizon. The discount also applies to upgrades.
This Galaxy Note 2 normally retails for $299 and on T-Mobile it will run customers $370, so this is a great deal for those looking to save money and purchase the phablet. It is currently available through other major carriers such as AT&T, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular.
