'Game of Thrones' Season 4 Starts Filming Soon, Show Wins Critics Choice Award
With the third season of "Game of Thrones" wrapped up, the filming of season four is set to begin in July. It is no wonder the show was renewed for a fourth season; the HBO drama is a big hit with fans and critics alike. For proof as to "Game of Thrones" critical appeal, just look to last night's Critic's Choice Television Awards.
"Game of Thrones" took home a top victory, winning the Critic's Choice Award for Best Drama Series. The HBO show does, however, have to share the honor with AMC hit "Breaking Bad," according to Rolling Stone magazine.
The popular HBO drama did not earn any other Critic's Choice Awards, but "Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston was named Best Actor in Drama Series.
"Game of Thrones" and "Breaking Bad" weren't the only ones who had to settle for a tie last night. A&E's "Duck Dynasty" had to share the title of Best Reality Series with Sundance Channel's "Push Girls." The honor of Best Supporting Actress in a comedy was split between Kaley Cuoco of CBS' "The Big Bang Theory," and Eden Sher of ABC's "The Middle."
The Critics Choice Television Awards were judged and decided upon by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association. The awards ceremony took place last night, Monday, June 10 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, according to CBS.
