"Giuliana has had a tough year and a half. Between the IVF attempts and now with this, I wish I could carry some of the load. Watching her being wheeled into the [operating room] was heartbreaking for me," said Bill Rancic, her husband.

Giuliana spoke about her health issues and her public battle with trying to get pregnant as well.

"Sometimes I have to get [injections] 21 days in a row, three times a day. It's a lot. But you've got to do it," she said.

"I still have a long road ahead, but thanks to everyone's overwhelming love, support and prayers, it will be an easier journey."

Rancic told Ryan Seacrest in an interview that she felt she needed to come public about her diagnosis, in an effort to help empower and encourage woman everywhere to get tested.
