Apple’s iPad and iPhone both run on the iOS 5, but Ice Cream Sandwich will be Google’s first operating system to run on both tablets and phones. According to Mobile Magazine, Google co-founder Larry Page is excited: “You won’t believe what we manage to get done in this release.”

Google is said to be working on usability, trying to make Android as simple as the iPad and iPhone. Critics  are focusing apps and user experience, according to Page.

According to Google financial figures over 190 million Android powered devices have sold around the world.

The minimum price for the Nexus Prime or Samsung Galaxy Nexus, according to Engadget reports, will be $299.99 for a two year-contract. It also is speculated the smartphone may be released any time after Nov. 10.

If you haven’t heard of the phone the reason is probably because of its number of different names, including the Samsung Nexus Prime, the Google Nexus Prime, the Samsung Droid Prime and the Google Nexus 3.

The Galaxy Nexus is set to be unveiled on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at the join Samsung/Googles media event in Hong Kong.
