High Schooler Wins Lottery: $1,000 a Week for Life
A high school senior from Brooklyn, N.Y., won a lottery prize of $1,000 a week for the rest of his life.
Now Robert Salo, 18, and his mother have one less thing to worry about – paying for college. The win took place just days before his graduation.
Salo won through New York Lottery's "Win for Life" scratch-off game. He bought his $2 ticket last month in Coney Island.
The teen was among several other winners. They received their ceremonial $1 million checks this week.
In total, Salo will be receiving $52,000 in checks a year and a minimum of $1 million over the next 20 years.
So what will he do with the money?
Salo told ABC News he'll use the money for a college education, with a focus on electrical engineering, and a BMW.
