Hillary Scott Waited to Name Daughter Until Birth

Hillary Scott of the country music duo Lady Antebellum recently explained why she and her husband waited until their daughter's arrival to choose a name.

The couple, married almost two years, welcomed their first child on July 22.

It was not until about 30 minutes after her birth that Scott and her husband, Chris Tyyrell, decided on a name: Eisele Kaye.

"I had felt like the instant I saw her, I would know exactly what her name was- there would be no question," Scott explained to People.com.

"She had probably been out of the womb 20 to 30 minutes before we decided for sure," she chanteuse continued. "After she was born, I was looking at Chris going, 'What's her name?!' Once he said it, then I knew. I had felt that all along, but I needed him to feel it too."

Eisele Kaye's name honors both Tyrrell's mother's maiden name and Scott's mother's middle name, respectively.

"Once he saw her and said it, it was done," Scott added. "We love how it sounds kind of musical, it has a sing-song to it. It floats in a pretty, musical way."

While the proud new parents held off on naming Eisele Kaye, they also waited to debut the first pictures of the baby girl.

On Oct. 15, Scott shared the first snap shot of Eisele.

"Hello World, my name is Eisele Kaye," the Lady Antebellum singer posted to Twitter along with a photo of the smiling baby.

The busy new mom is about to get even busier, as Scott just announced that her baby girl will be going on tour along with Lady Antebellum in the coming months.

"She [has] not been on the bus yet, but she has been on planes," Scott said on the "Today" show this week. "Her first flight was to L.A. We took a stroll through Central Park yesterday."

Scott's bandmates, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood chimed in about the upcoming tour dates.

"We start our tour in January, and she'll have her own family bus," said Kelley.

The Grammy Award-winning group is best known for their hit songs "Love Don't Live Here Anymore," "I Run To You," and "Need You Now," among others.

Scott joins a slew of other new celebrity moms, including Kim Kardashian, Kristen Bell, and Malin Akerman.
