Honey Boo Boo, Kim Kardashian- Celebrity Christmas Cards 2012
Many high profile people ranging from President Barack Obama to Kim Kardashian have issued warm holiday greetings this year, and The Christian Post has highlighted a few.
The White House 2012 Christmas card featured a painting by Larassa Kabel from Des Moines, Iowa. The artist featured the Obama family's dog, Bo, on the special card.
Describing the moment she learned First Lady Michelle Obama had selected her painting for the card, Kabel said, "It was a very surreal moment," according to ABC News.
"I had very, very, very low expectations about it in the first place," said the artist.
The black-and-white artwork features the Portuguese water dog with a scarf around its neck in front of a blurred snowy scene before the White House.
While Kabel said she is "living on glory" following her painting's selection, the artist and her husband were further delighted to attend the White House holiday party on Tuesday.
Obama's presidential opponent and Republican candidate Mitt Romney and his family have also released a holiday card. The front features Romney, his wife Ann, and their 18 grandchildren; while the back of the card features Romney's five sons and each of their wives joining the rest of the clan.
Likewise , the Kardashian family is spreading holiday cheer and sharing a card this year. Although some family members were not actually present at the photo shoot, photo shop allowed the entire clan to appear together dressed in winter white on the card.
The Kardashians including the "Kourtney and Kim Take Miami" stars are Christian and frequently attend church.
An avid Twitter user, Kim Kardashian took to the micro blogging site with her Christmas spirit on Wednesday.
"Christmas candles all over the house…" wrote the reality television star. "Heavenly!"
The Kardashians were not the only reality television stars to release a Christmas card this year. Honey Boo Boo and her family, the Thompsons, posted a holiday greeting on Facebook of the group crammed into a photo booth.
Known as Alana Thompson, the 7-year-old achieved nationwide recognition for her role on TLC's reality series "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo."
TLC has four "HOLLAday" special episodes of the show lined up, beginning on Feb. 17, 2013.
Meanwhile, across the pond in the U.K., Prince Charles and his wife Camilla released their Christmas card this week as well. The picture of the couple during one of the Queen's many Diamond Jubilee is featured on the card, but does not include any other members of the Royal family.
