HTC One Android 4.3 Update on Verizon Delayed by One Month
The HTC One Android 4.3 update for Verizon is currently being delayed for at least one month.
HTC's Jason Mackenzie took to his Twitter account to announce the news earlier today.
"One Vz customers: we need more time to spin new SW & re-test 4.3 update. Approx a month. Appreciate your patience as we work to deliver," he wrote.
The problem most likely lies in the carrier's overall update process as most other companies have already made Android 4.3 readily available for the HTC One.
Those who aren't willing to wait for the update could purchase the HTC One Max, which runs Android 4.3 and HTC Sense 5 right out of the box.
HTC issued a press release that revealed everything about the device earlier this month.
"The addition of the HTC One Max means that we now have an HTC One phone for everyone. The family has been built on quality and game-changing innovations and the HTC One max is certainly no exception," said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation. "The upgrade of HTC Sense 5.5 will provide our most amazing mobile experience yet, with the HTC One max delivering the size and power required to do everything you want, and more, without compromise."
The HTC One Max comes with a 5.9-inch Full HD 1080p display, a 1.7GHx Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, Android 4.3 with HTC Sense 5.5, 16/32GH of internal memory, 2GB RAM, microSD slot, and HTC BoomSound Dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers.
The long-rumored fingerprint scanner for the device was also confirmed by HTC.
"A new Fingerprint Scan feature takes convenience to a new level while acclaimed features including HTC BlinkFeed, HTC Zoe and HTC BoomSound, combined with the new HTC Sense 5.5, which are all enhanced to continue to deliver the best overall smartphone experience, now on a larger screen," wrote HTC in the press release.
