HTC One Max Android 4.4.2, KitKat Update Now Available
The HTC One Max Android 4.4.2, KitKat update is now available for Sprint customers.
The update weighs in at 343.93MB so users who download it might want to be connected to a Wi-Fi network. It can also be checked for in the Settings menu.
Changes made to the system include Security Enhancements, Cloud Print service, and New Bluetooth profiles to support more media interactions. The update could take a few days to reach specific customers.
The company issued a press release shortly before the HTC One Max launched last year.
"The addition of the HTC One Max means that we now have an HTC One phone for everyone. The family has been built on quality and game-changing innovations and the HTC One max is certainly no exception," said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation. "The upgrade of HTC Sense 5.5 will provide our most amazing mobile experience yet, with the HTC One max delivering the size and power required to do everything you want, and more, without compromise."
The HTC One Max comes with a 5.9-inch Full HD 1080p display, a 1.7GHx Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, Android 4.3 with HTC Sense 5.5, 16/32GH of internal memory, 2GB RAM, microSD slot, and HTC BoomSound Dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers.
The device also features a fingerprint scanner.
"A new Fingerprint Scan feature takes convenience to a new level while acclaimed features including HTC BlinkFeed, HTC Zoe and HTC BoomSound, combined with the new HTC Sense 5.5, which are all enhanced to continue to deliver the best overall smartphone experience, now on a larger screen," wrote HTC in the press release.
It also comes with a 3300mAh battery for enhanced performance. The device runs Android 4.3, JellyBean straight out of the box with Sense 5.5.
