HTC One X Jelly Bean Update Coming by Christmas
The HTC One X Jelly Bean update should available for most users by Christmas.
This information was revealed in a recent post by Modaco.com, who also stated the update will begin rolling out sometime before the end of this month. This is not new news as the October Jelly Bean roll out has already been reported by other media outlets.
It has also been confirmed that the non-branded HTC One X will be the first model to receive Android 4.1 with the major carrier models to follow shortly after.
HTC will also release the One X+, a slightly beefed up version of the original One X that will come with Android 4.1, JellyBean pre-installed. The One S is also expected to receive the update, however, no dates for that have been confirmed as of this week.
The HTC One S ICS 4.0.4 update has begun rolling out in nations throughout the continent of Europe including the Netherlands and Germany.
This latest build of Ice Cream Sandwich for the HTC handset brings with it a few bug fixes and the latest Sense update that improves the phone's camera app.
The device will also now have the EA Gamebox gaming hub and a remote control diagnostic tool installed once the update is performed.
HTC also revealed the U.K. prices of its two new Windows Phones including the 8X and the 8S. Both of these smartphones already have their own pages on the Unlocked Mobile's website and the 8X will cost £398.98 or $646, while the 8S will be priced at £224.98 or $364.
Another U.K. retailer known as Clove is offering the HTC 8X and 8S for pre-order at these same prices.
